In 2016, Manie joined the Blue Bulls academy in Pretoria and made his provincial debut for the Blue Bulls in the 2016 Currie Cup qualification series. He was then included in the South Africa Under-20 squad for the 2016 World Rugby Under 20 Championship. He played a pivotal role in their journey to the semi-finals, as a fly-half, finishing the competition as one of the top try-scorers for South Africa. Rugby World Cup 2023.
In the lead-up to the 2023 Rugby World Cup Tournament, Libbok emerged as South Africa’s first-choice ten. However, Springboks fly half was substituted by coach Jacques Nienaber half an hour into the semi-finals and replaced by Handre Pollard. This was because he had sent a kick horribly past the posts giving the opponents (England) a 9-3 lead.
