Grant Williams was born on 22 July 1996 in Paarl, Western Cape, South Africa. He received his education at Paarl Gymnasium, where he established himself as a promising rugby player. The South African rugby player stands 174 centimeters tall and he weighs 80 kilograms. The Springbok player Grant Williams is currently in a relationship with Tamryn Cupido. CAREER.
After completing his schooling, Grant played for various teams, demonstrating his abilities on the field. Grant Williams has a unique combination of speed and intelligence. He also had the opportunity to display his skills as a member of the Western Province 7s side. Williams began his rugby journey in 2017 with the College Rovers club. In that same year, the Western Cape native joined the Sharks Academy, representing both the Sharks U21 and U19 teams. His dedication to the game earned him a place in the Sharks’ Super Rugby squad for the 2018 season.
He was called up to the Springbok squad to replace Jaden Hendrikse, a Sharks scrumhalf, who had sustained a leg injury. This transpired in August 2021 and was after a remarkable performance with his club. On 9 July 2022, Williams made his international debut off the bench in a 12-13 defeat for the Springboks against Wales in Bloemfontein. He is one of the fastest players in the world.
Williams was part of the Springboks squad for the 2023 Rugby World Cup. He played three matches and scored ten points.
