Previously we spoke about the possible causes of body odor. As we all know, there’s always a solution to either better the situation or totally eliminate the problem. Depending on the root cause of the body odor issue, it could be reduced or eliminated totally.

Most commonly body odor is a result of poor personal hygiene although other conditions worsen it. You need to understand your body better so you can come up with a better solution. Knowing the underlying cause can make it easier to handle it. In other words, it could be a result of an underlying medical condition or a disease but proper personal grooming can reduce body odor.

TIPS.

  1. Wash your body every day. This keeps your skin clean and removes excess bacteria as well as sweat, not forgetting the dead cells on the skin. Try to make washing your body twice or at least once a day a habit. If you are someone who doesn’t do heavy work then you can wash up once a day but if you sweat a lot then do it twice. Washing before bed helps to reduce that odor you smell in your room in the morning.
  2. Try to add bicarbonate of soda to your water at least twice a week. Consider exfoliating your skin once or twice a week. You do not need expensive products to do this. An orange sack can do the job nicely and affordable soap too.
  3. Dry your body properly. Avoid dressing up when your body is damp. Remember your body is always warm and that coupled with dampness promotes the breeding of bacteria. If you apply roll on or use a body mist, allow the product to dry up. This also helps to keep your clothes free from stains.
  4. Try using deodorants after washing your body.
  5. Wear clean clothes every time. Repeating the same clothes may result in you smelling unpleasant. Avoid wearing clothes that are too tight. Choose breathable underwear.
  6. Keep your underarms and pubic area shaved.
  7. Wash your hair regularly’
  8. Try wiping off those few drops of pee before you wear back your underwear and clothes.
  9. Ladies, you should change your sanitary pads, tampons, pantie liners etcetera regularly. This does not eliminate odors only but also reduces the risks of infections.
  10. Eat healthy foods, drink enough water and do some workouts.
  11. Losing weight can be of help too.
  12. If personal hygiene alone is not helping that much, consider seeking medical advice
