One of the common questions in housekeeping is about the 3-bucket system. This Wash, Rinse & Sanitize system is one of the best ways of preventing the spread of bacteria and viruses through cross contamination.

The 3-bucket system is a process used for cleaning purposes.it involves the use of three different buckets. One for washing, another for rinsing and the other one for sanitizing. There also should be a different mop or cloth or sponge for each task.

One bucket contains soapy water (cleaning solution), another one contains clean water for rinsing and the last one has water with sanitizer. Sometimes the buckets are distinguished with colors.
