Food allergies are dangerous immune responses to certain foods. Customers always inform the company about their allergies so as to know if they can be accommodated before they make their bookings. Information about this should be noted down.

MOST COMMON FOOD ALLERGIES.

GLUTEN-FREE DIET.

Gluten is protein that is found in grains like wheat and rye. A gluten free diet does not include foods that contain gluten. Foods that contain gluten include cereals, pasta, bread, cakes and beer.

VEGAN.

A vegan is someone who does not eat food that comes from animals including dairy products and eggs. A vegan diet only contains foods made from plants such as fruits, grains, nuts and vegetables. People may choose to be vegans not because they are allergic to food from animals but because of their beliefs.

VEGETARIAN.

Vegetarians do not eat any meat or seafood but may eat eggs and dairy products. Some may choose to eat eggs but not dairy foods or vice versa.

PESCATARIAN.

These people do not eat meat but they do eat fish and other sea food.

SPECIFIC DIET REQUIREMENTS.

Some people do not eat certain foods due to some medical conditions like being diabetic. Some do have specific time to eat and specific food to eat at certain times.

HALAAL AND KOSHER.

Specific requirements can go down to religion. Halaal refers to, in this context, the meat and food prepared according to the Muslim law. Kosher refers to food prepared according to the requirements of the Jewish law.
