CHEF DE PARTIE – MSC CRUISES

Responsible to create the best culinary experience for the guests, offering them an outstanding service, through the preparation of a large variety of international menus. Our chefs’ positions are: Chef de partie (Garde manger, Entremetterie, Rotisserie, Breakfast/Poissonnerie, saucierie)

QUALIFICATIONS (skills, competencies, experience)

•Fluent English, oral and written skills. Any additional language is considered an advantage;

•High school diploma (or basic education equivalency), culinary school degree and Food Safety certificate (Equivalent to Food Safety Professional Certificate or Diploma);

•Great knowledge of VSP Manual, Shipsan Manual, Anvisa regulations;

•At least 5 years’ experience in a similar managerial role in cruise line;

•Ability to work in a team;

•Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions;

•Multitasking and ability in handling a high quality and high volume of culinary operations;

•Team management and conflicts resolutions;

•Good communication skills and customer care.

PHOTO SERVICES MANAGER – MSC CRUISES

Whilst managing, supporting, coaching and motivating the Photography Team, the Photo Services Manager oversees the entire on-board photography operations, internet operations and wristband sales, proposes and implements strategies to achieve and exceed the revenue target established by HQ in order to meet company expectations.

HOUSEKEEPING MANAGER – EXPLORA JOURNEYS

The Housekeeping Manager is overall responsible for the daily operations of the Housekeeping Department, ensuring that all Housekeeping Team carries out their assignments and provides the highest standard of service, cleanliness, disinfection and service to Guests in all accommodation, public and crew areas.

QUALIFICATIONS

 Fluent in oral and written English. Ability to communicate in other European languages is highly desirable.  

• High School graduate and specialization in the hospitality field is desirable.  

• Minimum of proven 3 years of experience as Housekeeping Manager on board luxury/upper premium Cruise ships. 

• Ability to motivate and work in a harmonious productive team environment, focusing in exceeding the guests’ expectations, motivating the team. 

• Familiar with and able to use basic Windows–based programs, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and any current ship management program in use on assigned ship (training provided).

• Proven skills on Cruise Ship Housekeeping operations, in a multinational environment. 

• Ability to manage the Hotel’s Housekeeping section and budget professionally, efficiently, and economically.

The Waiter provides excellent and professional dining service to guests in any assigned venue, presenting the menus and suggesting particular courses and drinks.

QUALIFICATIONS 

• Fluent English, oral and written. Any additional European language is considered an advantage (Italian, Portuguese, German, Spanish and French;

• High School certificate is an advantage;

• Experience in 4/5 stars restaurant, hotel or resort is an advantage;

• Good interpersonal skills, positive attitude and willingness to learn;

• Passion for hospitality and customer service driven;

• Cruise industry experience is an advantage.
