Jude Bellingham was born on June 29, 2003, in Stourbridge, England. From a young age, He displayed his passion for football from a young age and his father, Mark Bellingham, helped him to nurture his early passion for the sport.

CAREER

Birmingham City

Bellingham’s professional journey began at Birmingham City’s youth academy. On August 6, 2019, at the age of 16, he made his professional debut for Birmingham City, becoming the club’s youngest ever first-team player. Birmingham City took the exceptional step of retiring his number 22 shirt when he departed, a tribute to his impact at such a young age.

Borussia Dortmund

In 2020, the young star signed with German club Borussia Dortmund which is known for their prowess in developing young talents. At Dortmund, Bellingham’s career flourished further. He played in various midfield roles and quickly establishing himself as a key player, thus showcasing his versatility. His performances in the Bundesliga and the UEFA Champions League drew widespread acclaim, solidifying his reputation as one of Europe’s most promising talents.

Real Madrid

Bellingham caught the attention of Spanish giants Real Madrid in 2023. The transfer was one of the most talked-about moves of the summer, with Bellingham joining the ranks of the illustrious club. At the Santiago Bernabéu, Bellingham adapted to the demands of La Liga and further enhanced his reputation on the global stage.

International Career

Bellingham made his senior debut for the England national team in November 2020 joining the Three Lions group from the MU21s and has since become a regular fixture in the squad. His performances in international tournaments and qualifiers have further underscored his importance to the national side.

He became the youngest player to score for the Young Lions following a debut strike in their win over Kosovo in September 2020 before going on to impress in their first four games of the season. The 21-year-old set a new record as the youngest English player to start at Champions League game when he played against Lazio in October 2020. 

Initially Jude started his international career by featuring for and captaining the MU16s and MU17s, before jumping up to the MU21s at the start of the 2020-21 season, following his breakthrough season with Birmingham City and then a subsequent move to Borussia Dortmund.

He also represented the country (England)  at UEFA Euro 2024 as well as the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
