Verbal communication alone cannot be effective unless if it is accompanied by proper body language. They say action speaks louder than words.
Words alone are not enough, they are always accompanied by actions (in this case body language) to make communication more efficient. Body language makes it easier to understand the verbal communication as it makes it clearer and more effective.
Body language has to match the words. It can be used to express emotions and feelings properly. There are many types of body language and keep in mind that body language can send a negative or positive message across. Make sure it matches what you say.

FACIAL EXPRESSIONS ( eye contact)
Usually facial expressions can show if you are interested in the conversation or not. Maintaining eye contact can show that you are confident. However, some people may see it as rudeness especially if you are younger than them.
The way you play around with your eye contact sends a message to the other party. People who are confident can maintain direct eye contact. Failure to maintain direct eye contact may reflect shyness and sometimes discomfort…..
