With the economic crisis in Zimbabwe, searching for a job is not a wise idea to rely on. You have to come up with hustle to make ends meet. After all Zimbabwe is open for business.

For you to start a business, you need capital. The amount of capital needed depends on the kind of business you want to start and its size. You may want to start small and then expand later.

Starting your own business can be a great move and can help create opportunities for others in the long run. You may be based in the outskirts of the city since it is cheaper when it comes to resources like land or renting a place.

The first idea is of farming and selling your farm produce. You may farm vegetables like cabbage and tomatoes and then sell in bulk to other people at a wholesale price. You may also open your own fruit and veg and be your own supplier.

The other idea is about buying and selling farm produce from rural areas. Things like maize, ground nuts and peas are cheaper in rural areas because almost everyone there has a farming land so the supply is high.

You may also do barter trade with the people there and then you go to the city or places with the demand for the products and then resell at a higher price.

You may also consider doing a broiler and layers project. People will always buy chicken. They will always buy eggs for baking and even breakfast and salads. This project is most likely to be successful and profitable. All you need is a piece of land to put up the structure you need for the birds.

Buying and selling or breeding livestock is another option. You may buy goats and cows and resell them to butchers, for example. Breeding may take a while before you can make proceeds from it but it is worth investing in that business .

Selling groceries can be a good idea also. People will always want to eat. You may not be able to make a lot of money from this business but you won’t be that broke. You can make some money to put food on the table. So, go on and open up your grocery store or tuck-shop.

Last but not least, events planning is another idea you want to venture into. Organising events for people can be very profitable especially if you can offer a variety of services To your clients.
