Temperatures are really high and many of us who have health issues are struggling. Many harmful micro organisms breed really fast in warm and damp environments such that we always have disease outbreaks during hot and wet season.

Even animals too go through the same storm during this time. We get animal or livestock diseases such as tick borne illnesses. I am not going to talk about animals but will surely do some other time.

Our bodies suffer heat stroke and exhaustion may cause the body to fail to regulate the internal temperature. This may lead to heart issues like heart attack. People who already have existing illnesses may suffer more as there conditions will be worsened.

Migraines usually get worse if there is too much heat. Some people struggle to breathe in heat and some peoples’ sight is affected too. If you have anaemia then you will struggle to do a lot of things. You may even black out if the heat becomes too much.

However, there are many ways to reduce the impact of heat to us and main our health standards. On the top of the list is keeping your body hydrated. Drinking plenty water is one best way to beat any challenges that heat brings about to our health, unless if you have a medical condition that restricts you from doing so.

The next is eating healthy. Eat a balanced diet to keep your body well nourished. This helps boost your immune system and it will be strong enough to battle against infections. If you are on treatment, take it properly be assessed your doctor knows what’s best for you.

Do some exercises too to keep your body active. If need guidance seek fir a personal trainer services especially for those with some medical conditions.  Try to do the exercises when the temperatures are still low like early in the morning or later in the evenings.

Avoid carrying out tasks that require much of your physical strength during that time of the day when temperatures are high. Try to relax in a shade where there is no direct sunlight. Keep your place well ventilated. Proper air circulation is a requirement during these times.

Mosquitoes also breed so much this time. You may find yourself dealing or battling Malaria. Cut your grass if you have lawn at home. Don’t keep stagnant water around your place. Get vaccinated if you can and use preventative measures like Mosquito nets and coils.

Some areas are affected by diseases like cholera. Flies breed fast too and you should handle your food with care. Boil water to make it safer to drink if you cannot afford purified water. Use sunscreen to protect your skin.
