In todays world there is no chance for those who do not have evidence of what they can do. It doesn’t matter how talented you are, as long as there is no certificate then automatically you are not qualified.
We have brilliant minds that a stuck in poverty because they didn’t get a chance to acquire a certificate that proves their ability. This is one of the reasons why the chain of poverty can’t be broken so easily.
The rich will get richer and maintain their standards while the poor remain miserable. The most painful thing is that those that are not being given the opportunity are actually good at what they do.
All they need is a chance to prove themselves. There are people in high ranks who do not have degrees or certificates. They started on entry levels and worked their way up the ladder and succeeded.
The fact is someone discovered their potential and gave them the opportunity they needed. Most people actually acquired their certificates after they got employed. It is about giving people opportunities.
It has gotten to a point were students hire people to do their school work just for them to get a pass mark. They don’t worry about learning because they know it is the certificate that will be considered not their ability.
In some cases we have graduates with first class degrees but are not employed. It’s not because there are no jobs available but someone under qualified is sitting in their position all because of connections.
Should we call these connections corruption? In some countries you can just forget your way into getting a nice job you don’t know how to do by bribing the hiring team. Nobody cares about how you will perform.
Especially if the company is not theirs. Connections are good at personal level but can be harmful at national level as things are not done the way they should be all in the name of I know him or her so give him or her the job.
Maybe the best advice I could give is that you should befriend yourself with people in higher ranks so life can be easier for you. They can help you get connected with their connections.
Well, the wise will consider starting their own businesses and create opportunities for others who are in the same situation. Don’t stick your mind to getting employed rather create employment.
