Whilst others were busy taking pictures and videos the seventeen year old Innocent Chidhudhu decided to break in to the house and rescue the two children from the raging fire. The children were seven and four years old.
Innocent said that he decided to break in using the back door and he brought out one child. Just after that he was told that there was one more and he risked his life again and rescued the second child.
He said he started coughing up blood and was struggling to breath as he had inhaled too much smoke from the fire. He passed out and was rushed to Bindura Hospital where he was put on oxygen.
His mother was worried that he would lose his life after saving the life of those other two kids. The mother of the two kids fainted when she got to the burning house as she thought her kids had died inside.
She was and is grateful to the young hero of our time for taking the brave step of rescuing her two kids at the risk of losing his life. It is very rare to find such brave and kind hearts in our society. We shall forever be grateful to Innocent for taking such a bold step.
