There are still some people who link contraception and fertility. They believe that if you start using birth control measures before you give birth to a child then you will struggle to conceive.
Some believe that once a child start using contraception she will become wild and addicted to sex. All they are trying to say is she will find no reason to abstain since she is safe from getting pregnant .
After discouraging girls from using birth control measures and knowing fully well that abstinence is not an option for them anymore, they complain about teenage pregnancies.
This simply signifies that people are not well educated about contraception. They do not fully understand how it works and the teenagers and young women too need to be enlighten about this too.
Contraception methods do have their side effects of which infertility is not one of them. They also have their benefits and the number one is that of preventing unwanted pregnancies.
It doesn’t make sense that people say you will struggle or you won’t be able to conceive if you use it before having a child. Yet people still give birth to as many children as they want while using contraception in between the pregnancies.
That simply shows that no contraceptive means can temper with your fertility unless if it is a permanent method. Instead of forcing young women into being mothers when they are not ready, let’s teach them more about prevention.
Prevention is better than abortion. It is better than having many kids being dumped in the streets. It is better than allowing many young women to throw their bright future in the drain.
There are different methods ranging from short term to long term methods. Long term methods can be reversible or non reversible. So, it is a matter of choosing what’s best for you and what works best for you.
