The award winning Zimdancehall artist and songwriter Hwindi President was involved in a car accident while he was on his way from Masvingo. He and his team where rushed to the hospital and there is not much information that has been disclosed yet.
Rumours say he need financial help so he can get treatment as soon as possible. Some of the Zimbabwean content creators were requesting that people come together and make contributions so that we can help save his life. No one is sure about how critical his condition is yet.
However, as a nation and all his fans across the globe, we wish him speedy recovery. We pray he gets well soon and come back to give us the best entertainment like he always did with his inspiring music. He is one of the most humble Zimbabwean celebrities.
He never hides his true identity as a kombi conductor (Hwindi). He used to be and is most likely still working as a conductor and that is where he got his stage name from. Reports say if he is not in the studio or on stage, he will be on the road doing his job as the boss of the road.
He is never embarrassed about his hustle and his creativity in song writing is of high degree. Hwindi President’s real name is Bessel Mugo Parewa. He is based in Harare and he rose to fame in 2015 after releasing his song titled Tambirai Mornach.
His signature chant is Zvatanga (It has begun) Bvunza ma Hwindi pamushika shika. Bessel won the most promising artist award at Zimdancehall awards 2016 and was nominated for the best live performers award in that same year.
He was once robbed of R3000 in South Africa after performing at a show. This was dine at gun point in November 2022. He was left unharmed and some people suspected that it was the handwork of some jealousy music promoters.
